This year's Libraries Day is celebrated under the slogan "Weaving communities" because, as the Ministry of Culture and Sport website says "a library is not just a building full of books: they are beating hearts within our communities, they are spaces for meeting and dialogue.
The Libraries Day highlights the work done by all Spanish libraries, of all types (public, school, university, specialised and national/regional), to connect their users, create support and collaboration networks, encourage citizen participation and dialogue, and make culture and knowledge accessible to the entire population, regardless of age, gender, race or place of residence".
In the MARQ Library every day is Libraries Day.
