Renfe and the Fundación CV MARQ promote the use of the train to visit the archaeological museum of Alicante, its sites and monuments and its exhibition "Dynasties. The first kingdoms of prehistoric Europe".

The president of Renfe, Raül Blanco, and the president of the Diputación de Alicante and president of the Fundación CV MARQ, Toni Pérez, signed a collaboration agreement this morning at FITUR with the aim of promoting the use of trains to visit the MARQ, the Archaeological Museum of Alicante, its archaeological sites and monuments and its Temporary Exhibitions. The aim of the agreement is to promote, on the one hand, visits to the MARQ, its archaeological sites and monuments as a tourist destination and, on the other hand, to encourage the use of AVE and long-distance trains when travelling to visit Alicante and the Costa Blanca.

By virtue of the agreement, the MARQ Foundation undertakes to promote Renfe's services as a means of transport, in particular those provided by the AVE, Avlo, Alvia, Euromed or Intercity trains, in all the activities it carries out to promote cultural tourism.

It will also inform those attending the museum, its temporary exhibitions, its cultural events and, in general, those of interest, of the promotions and commercial conditions offered by Renfe, in order to encourage the use of the services offered by the railway company.

Renfe customers can obtain free admission to the Museum and the Temporary Exhibitions on presentation of their individual and nominative AVE, Larga Distancia and Avlo tickets at the MARQ ticket offices.

Likewise, the presentation of Renfe tickets will allow a discount of 100% on the price of admission to the sites and monuments under the management of the Fundación CV MARQ: La Illeta in El Campello; Lucentum in Alicante; the Almohad Tower of Almudaina; the Pla de Petracos in Castell de Castells, the Cova de l'Or in Beniarrés and the Cava Gran in Agres.

Valid tickets to obtain the free admission will be those whose date of travel is within 10 days before or after the date of the visit to the Museum and the Exhibition. The delivery of tickets will be conditional on the availability of access due to limited capacity within the aforementioned 10 days.

From March until October this year, the temporary halls of the MARQ will host the international exhibition ".Dynasties. The First Kingdoms of Prehistoric Europe". The exhibition is made up of around 482 unique pieces, brought together for the first time to be exhibited to the public, in a project in which 18 museums from Spain, Hungary, Slovakia, Germany, Belgium, Portugal and Denmark are participating together with MARQ. The aim is not only to offer visitors the opportunity to appreciate masterpieces from the Bronze Age in continental Europe, but also to understand, in a clear and accessible way, how and why they were created, who their creators were and for what and for whom they were created.

This is the second agreement signed between Renfe and the Fundación CV MARQ, after the one signed in 2023 on the occasion of the international exhibition "The Legacy of the Qin and Han Dynasties, China. The Warriors of Xi'an".which sets out the lines of work in different areas: such as relational marketing among its customers, websites, blog and media, etc. Renfe Viajeros will be able to publicise its collaboration as "Official Train" in MARQ's congresses, events, programmes and activities, in all media.

Renfe once again becomes the train of culture, in this case, with the aim of increasing the number of visits to the Provincial Archaeological Museum of Alicante - MARQ, as well as promoting the use of its trains.
