The MARQ CV Foundation participates in the project History teaching and dissemination of the cultural heritage, which recently began its first meetings at the Museo Nacional del Prado in Madrid. This programme has two fundamental objectives: on the one hand, the transfer of research to in-service teacher training, creating a training programme and evaluating its effectiveness and, on the other hand, the development of activities designed jointly with the different museums to implement them in their school visits.
Funded by the State Research Agency, the project is entitled History teaching and dissemination of cultural heritage. Transfer of research on teacher training, digital resources and active methods. and together with the MARQ Foundation, nine Spanish museums are participating, such as the Museo Nacional del Prado, the Museo Arqueológico Nacional, the Museo Nacional de Altamira, the Museo Nacional de Arqueología Subacuática de Cartagena, the Museo de Pontevedra, the Museo do Pobo Galego, the Museos do Concello de Vigo and the Museo de Memoria de Andalucía; together with six Spanish universities: Santiago de Compostela, Granada, Almería, Almería, Valladolid and La Laguna, with the University of Murcia acting as coordinator, as well as teachers and professors from Murcia, Castilla la Mancha and Cantabria.
At the first meeting, held at the Museo del Prado, the Fundación CV MARQ was represented by Gema Sala, coordinator of the Didactics and Accessibility Unit, at which the learning situations designed on alternative narratives and the teacher training course were analysed and approved, and it was agreed to hold an international conference on "Museums and Education. Experiences for the dissemination of heritage", to be held in Lugo from 3 to 5 July 2024, together with the publication of a book in which the learning design will be presented.
