The CV MARQ Foundation has renewed the SICTED Distinction for Quality Tourism in Destinations which grants the State Secretariat for Tourism (SETUR). The Valuation Committee, in the meeting held on 15th June, has recognised the excellence and continuous improvement in the customer service offered by the Fundación CV MARQ to its visitors, renewing the SICTED distinction until 2025.
Since 2014, the CV MARQ Foundation, which depends on the Provincial Council of Alicante, has been awarded the SICTED Distinction - Commitment to Quality Tourism in Destinations, promoted by the State Secretariat for Tourism in recognition of quality and excellence in visitor service in establishments linked to the tourism sector. In addition to the SICTED distinction, 2018 saw the addition of the Q for Tourist Qualityawarded by the Spanish Institute for Tourism Quality (ICTE), making the MARQ, the Archaeological Museum of Alicante, the first museum in Spain to obtain it.
In addition to these accreditations, the MARQ CV Foundation has, since November 2020, been certified in the standard UNE 170001-2:2007 Universal Accessibilityin its efforts to achieve "a MARQ for all people"..
In addition to these distinctions, in 2023 the Fundación CV MARQ added the certification S for Sustainable Tourism, implemented by the Instituto para la Calidad Turística Española (ICTE), which recognises sustainable organisations, understood as those that create social, economic and environmental value in their environment, thus contributing to the well-being and progress of society.
