Summer at MARQThe summer school that has been organised for the last 20 years by the Fundación CV MARQ together with the Diputación de Alicante has closed its doors with the participation of 1,677 children aged between 6 and 12 years old.
On this occasion, Veranea en el MARQ celebrated its twentieth anniversary with a programme of activities planned by the Didactics, Accessibility, Club Llumiq and Social Responsibility Unit of the Fundación CV MARQ, which focused on the current international temporary exhibition Dynasties. The First Kingdoms of Prehistoric Europe.
For eight weeks, from 1 July to 23 August, participants had the opportunity to explore history and culture in an active and participatory way, with a programme carefully designed to stimulate curiosity and a love of learning.
With activities that have included gymkhanas, visits to the different rooms of the museum and the temporary exhibition, craft workshops and archaeological excavation, the participants have interacted with the different contents offered by the MARQ and have immersed themselves in the past, understanding the importance of history in our present.
In its twenty years of existence, the summer school has kept alive the objective of educating and promoting knowledge of our history in a fun and participatory way, developing social skills through games and group activities. At the end of each week, the children have received a diploma certifying their participation in the summer school at the MARQ, which has already been attended by nearly twenty-five thousand children over the last twenty years.
