The MARQ CV Foundation has presented the educational guide 2024-25 to teachers and professors with the aim of offering tools and resources to enrich the educational experience of our students during their visit to both the MARQ and the monuments and archaeological sites managed by the Provincial Council of Alicante, through the MARQ Foundation.
Juan de Dios Navarro Caballero, deputy for Culture and vice-president of the MARQ Foundation, pointed out at the presentation of the guide that "the proposed educational journey begins in Prehistory and ends in the Modern Age and is accompanied by games, stories and videos, as well as adapted didactic workshops that allow schoolchildren to actively participate in the reproduction of decorative elements of Iberian ceramics, looms or Roman mosaics or cave art". He also stressed that "the projects on which the educational guide focuses are designed with the aim of enriching and enhancing the educational experience of our students, giving them a unique opportunity to explore the fascinating world of archaeology, delve into the history of our province and the civilisations and cultures that have preceded us".
During the school year that is now beginning, the Fundación CV MARQ will continue to offer the following courses excavation workshops started two years ago, so that pupils can learn how archaeology works, just as they have already been doing at archaeological sites. With the offer to those schools, whose school day is continuous or as an extracurricular activity, to carry out educational workshops also in the afternoon.
Another of the programmes with continuity in this 2024-25 is Online classroom with MARQin which, through our web page www.marqalicante.com, we offer 148 didactic guides (in pdf and interactive), educational videos, easy reading and pictograms, activities, games and stories among others that cover from Infant Education to Secondary and Baccalaureate, as a valuable material to work and learn in the classroom and at home, before or after the visit to our facilities.
