MUSEA meeting at MARQ to plan joint cultural actions in the city of Alicante

This morning, the MARQ, the Archaeological Museum of Alicante, hosted the MUSEA meeting in which technicians from the museums of the city of Alicante discussed the activities to be programmed in the city's museums and cultural centres in the near future.

MUSEA is made up of the museums and cultural centres of Aguas de Alicante, Nueva Tabarca, Castillo de Santa Bárbara-MUSA, Lonja, MACA; Centro Cultural Cigarreras, UA-Sede Universitaria Ciutat d'Alacant, MUA, Museo de la Universidad de Alicante, The Ocean Race Museum, MUBAG, Museo de Bellas Artes Gravina, Instituto Alicantino de Cultura Juan Gil Albert, the MARQ, Museo Arqueológico de Alicante and the Fundación CV MARQ.

A cultural platform that, with the aim of working together on Alicante's cultural offer, seeks to plan initiatives that generate visitor traffic and interest in the exhibitions and activities programmed by each centre, MUSEA is currently working on planning the next Christmas campaign. After the meeting, the MUSEA technicians who attended the meeting were given a guided tour of the MARQ's international exhibition "Dynasties. The first kingdoms of Prehistoric Europe", open to the public until Sunday 13 October in the temporary rooms of the Archaeological Museum of the Diputación de Alicante, located in Alicante's Plaza del Doctor Gómez Ulla.

Every year, MUSEA coordinates various actions to jointly celebrate International Museum Day, around 18 May, and the Nit en Blanc (White Night), which is held in mid-July.
