The MARQ CV Foundation renews the accessibility certification of the Archaeological Museum of Alicante.

The MARQ CV Foundation has exceeded the certification process initiated in September and has renewed the certification of MARQ's accessibility management system, according to the UNE: 170001-2:2007 standard.

This accreditation confirms the objective and commitment of the Diputación de Alicante de achieve a MARQ for all people and offer access to culture to all. all people, regardless of their abilities. The MARQ Foundation works so that all visitors can enjoy the content and activities that the museum offers in the temporary exhibitions, in the permanent galleries, as well as in the sites of La Illeta in El Campello and Lucentum in Albufereta.

In order to obtain the certification, the level of adaptation of the museum to the accessibility criteria, the projects related to social responsibility carried out with the different provincial, regional and local associations, the high level of accessibility of the temporary exhibitions and the commitment of all the staff involved in the implementation of the management system have been assessed.

With this renewal of the accessibility certification, inclusion has become a hallmark of MARQ, as recently recognised by the European Museum Academy, EMA, at its annual gala held in Cyprus on 5 October, where MARQ was awarded the DASA Award 2024 for its work and trajectory in educational, inclusive and social programmes.
