D. in Anthropology and researcher at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM). Jesus Carlos Lazcano will offer tomorrow Wednesday 3 September at 19:00 hours in the MARQ Assembly Hall a conference on the Aztec city of Xochitecatl-Cacaxtla Xochitecatl-Cacaxtlaa pre-Hispanic settlement located in the Puebla-Tlaxcala valley, which was planned and built around 800 BC.
In the course of his speech, the speaker will explain the tasks exploration and conservation that have been taking place in Cacaxtla for more than thirty years, as well as the research activities, protection and enhancement carried out at Xoxhitecatl. These works have allowed researchers to affirm that during the Epiclassic period (650-950 A.D.) both sites corresponded to a single social unit.
In addition, Lazcano will give a historiographical account of the studies that have been carried out in both settlements, considered Cultural Heritage of the state of Tlaxcala.
