On the 30th of next month, the MARQ will host a session of conferences given by experts from the Sorbonne universities (France),Lleida, Valencia and AlicanteThis will be followed by a round table discussion on the origins of the rábitas in Al-Andalus.
A day later, in the Assembly Hall of the Casa Municipal de Cultura of Guardamar de Segura, more presentations will be given by professionals from the National Heritage Institute of Tunisiaof the University of Lisbon (Portugal) and the MARQ.
The aim of this conference is to raise awareness and reflect with experts from different fields, following the thirty years since the discovery of the raabite and after the publication of two monographs and several dozen articles on the results of the excavations, what this discovery meant for archaeological research in Al-Andalus.
