MARQ takes part in the celebration of the International Day of the Child with Cancer

On 15 February, the International Day of the Child with Cancer will be celebrated and a common manifesto will be read in most Spanish cities, calling for Hope.

MARQ has signed a collaboration agreement with the Association of Parents of Children with Cancer, ASPANION, and they organise leisure activities using the Museum - gardens, library, assembly hall, etc. - as a common space for initiatives to benefit sick children, parents and relatives. These initiatives are aimed at making the Archaeological Heritage accessible to children and adolescents who suffer or have suffered from an oncological disease.

Children take part in guided games or drawing competitions at MARQ's temporary exhibitions such as the Fragata Princesa Mercedes or with fun activities on International Museum Day 2015.

Both in Valencia at the Ciudad de las Artes and in Alicante at the Explanada de España, children's parties with entertainment, magicians and live music were held last Sunday.
