The great festival of museums attracted 2,223 visitors to the Archaeological Museum of Alicante on Friday 21 July, the day on which cultural institutions around the world commemorated the so-called Noche en Blanco (White Night).

A day full of activities and in which lovers of culture, history and archaeology were able to enjoy free admission to the Marq until one o'clock in the morning. The museum organised three family workshops under the title "Decorate your ears like the Mayas", which encouraged children and adults to put their handicraft skills to the test to make these Mayan ornaments; an initiative that was very well received, as the workshops were full within minutes of the opening of the registration period. Visitors to the Marq were also able to take part in the "Search for the Lost City" treasure hunt, an activity that rewarded the efforts of 555 intrepid researchers with a joint family ticket to visit the Museum and its sites.

Undoubtedly, the main attraction of the visit to the Marq until 7 January is to get closer to the world of the ancient Maya, a civilisation studied in detail in the international exhibition Mayas. The enigma of the lost citieswhich has already had more than 25,000 visitors since its inauguration on 25 May.
