Iranian Cinema on show at MARQ

The sixteenth edition of the Alicante Film Festival pays its particular tribute to Iran this year. The MARQ, which until 1 September will be hosting the exhibition Iran. Cradle of Civilisationsopens the screenings of the "Cycle of Iranian Cinema" within the Festival, next Monday 13th May at 18:00hs in the Auditorium with the film 'Kissing the Face of the Moon', directed by Homayun Asadian tells the story of two mothers whose children are lost without a trace and who live in hope of finding them. Suddenly, news arrives that will fill their lives with the most varied events.

 

On Tuesday 14th, also at 18:00h, '.A cradle for a mother'.by Panah Bar Khoda, which will tell us about Narges, a young student of Russian Literature, dressed in her seminarian attire, who, after finishing her studies in Moscow, wants to return to Russia as a teacher of students who have recently converted to Islam.

 

An unmissable event for lovers of the seventh art who can combine an afternoon at the cinema with a visit to one of the most fascinating cultures in history, all without leaving MARQ.

The Iranian film series continues from 15 to 17 May at the MACA, Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Alicante.
