The President of the Provincial Council of Alicante, Luisa Pastor Lillo has presented the new piece that is incorporated into the exhibition "ERMITAGE: Treasures of Russian Archaeology in the MARQ". It is the "Deer from the Tumulus of Kostromskoy, Kuban". http://t.co/mmEnEJJwhich will be on display until the end of the exhibition.
On the occasion of the presentation of the piece "The deer from the Kostromskoy burial mound. Kuban"which is part of the international exhibition "Hermitage. Treasures of Russian Archaeology at MARQ", the museum is holding open days on 22, 23 and 24 July 2011.
Free admission limited to the capacity of the halls.
During the months of July and August the museum will be open from Tuesday to Saturday from 11:00 to 14:00 and from 18:00 to 24:00. On Sundays and public holidays from 11:00 to 14:00.
The guided passes for the guided tours of the exhibition "ERMITAGE: Treasures of Russian Archaeology at MARQ" have also been modified.
In charge of the "engine room" of the MARQ since its inauguration, our colleague Francisco (Paco) Guillén, on reaching the regulatory age, has passed into retirement. The MARQ in collaboration with the Excmo. From Friday 10 June to Sunday 12 June, the Provincial Archaeological Museum hosted a training session for the II Edition of the Master's Degree in European Museology organised by the University of Milan (IULM).

The exhibition was presented at the MARQ by the president of the Provincial Council of Alicante, José Joaquín Ripoll; the mayoress of Cádiz, Teófila Martínez and the archaeologists Walter Alva, head of the Sipán Archaeological Project and director of the Royal Tombs Museum, and Ricardo Morales, director of the Huaca de la Luna Archaeological Project.
The book "España 1889" was presented in the MARQ Assembly Hall, in the presence of the President of the Provincial Council of Alicante and the MARQ, Joaquín Ripoll Serrano and the Director of the Institute of History of Material Culture of the Academy of Science of the Russian Federation, Evgeny N. Nosov; together with the Managing Director of the MARQ, Josep Albert Cortés, the Technical Director, Manuel Olcina Domènech, and the Director of the Exhibitions and Dissemination Unit, Jorge A. The book "España 1889" will be presented at MARQ on the 22nd at 12:00 hours by its authors, Doctor Emilio Soler Pascual, professor at the University of Alicante and Doctor Galina V. Dluzhnevskaya, Director of the Scientific Archive of the Institute of History of Material Culture of the Academy of Sciences of the Russian Federation.
