The only Hispano-Roman city that issued coins in what is now the province of Alicante was Ilici (La Alcudia de Elche), with six bronze issues. The altar on the reverse refers to the dedication of an altar to the health of Livia. The legend indicates that this coin was minted when M. Iulius Settal and L. Sestius Celer were duovirs of Ilici.
