Alicante Provincial Council celebrates International Museum Day with a focus on education and research

International Museum Day

Conferences, workshops, guided tours and other open-door activities are scheduled until Sunday at the MARQ, the MUBAG and the Gil-Albert Museum.

 

The Diputación de Alicante is once again taking part in the events planned for the occasion of the International Museum Day which this year is being held under the motto "Museums for education and research".. As in previous editions, the MUBAG, the MARQ and the Alicante Institute of Culture Juan Gil-Albert They will offer their content together with centres from the City Council, the University, Aguas de Alicante and The Ocean Race.

MARQ

MARQ has designed a programme that includes dramatised visits, guided tours and educational workshops related to both the temporary exhibition Dynasties. The proposals place special emphasis on the younger public, as Navarro explained, and include performances by the historical re-enactment group 'Hispania Romana', both in the Sala de Roma and in the gardens.

MUBAG

For its part, the Museo de Bellas Artes de Alicante will be celebrating the DIM throughout the weekend with the thematic visits Horizons of change: the artistic revolution at the beginning of the 20th century' and by the dramatised ones Gesture and light' to the permanent exhibition 'The 19th century. The collection in the light'. It has also organised a dynamic cultural game on the hidden history of the museum.

There will also be guided tours of the exhibition 'Eusebio Sempere & Felipe Pantone', by the curators María José Gadea and Óscar Garcíaas well as workshops for the youngest children run by Kaufman and Daguten. JUAN GIL-ALBERT ALICANTINO INSTITUTE OF CULTURE

On Thursday 16th and Friday 17th, the Casa Bardin will host a video projection throughout the day, which gathers the testimony of twenty artists from the province about which is their favourite museum.
