The Tossal de Manises archaeological site will host the dramatisations of scenes from 2,000 years ago next weekend, 5 and 6 October.
The archaeological site of the Tossal de Manises will host next weekend, 5 and 6 October, the shows of Historical Recreation organised by the "Hispania Romana" Cultural Association and the Banco Sabadell Foundation. This initiative of the MARQ is now in its ninth year and invites the public to meet in situ the life and customs of the Roman civilisation.
The Deputy for Culture, Juan de Dios NavarroHe called on the people of Alicante to come to the Tossal de Manises to enjoy this attractive initiative and reminded them that the The workshops are aimed at all audiences. "I want to emphasise the value of recalling these scenes with the utmost rigour and in an environment where they really happened 2,000 years ago, in order to make the history of our province and the important heritage legacy that we treasure available to the public.
This year in the enclave will be unveiled different aspects of life in Roman times with scenes showing the different social classes, the magistrate's awakening, the matron's boudoir, the taverns, the world of magic or the tactics and daily activities in a military camp.
With a maximum capacity of 250 spectators per passthe Lucentum Reviviscit-2024 performances will take place on Saturday 5 October -from 10:30 to 13:30 and 17:00 to 20:00 hours- and the Sunday 6 October -from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm-. The price of each session will be three euros and tickets can be purchased at the MARQ ticket officesin its own Lucentum site (Tossal de Manises) or to through Vivaticket. On the other hand, during this weekend will remain the guided pass service has been abolished. and free visits to the site will not be allowed.
