261 people visited the new cultural resources of the MARQ in Beniarrés during the open days held this weekend.

 

Two hundred and sixty-one persons visited this past weekend both thel Cova de l'Or Interpretation Centre as the site archaeological during the open days to commemorate its opening to the public for the first time since its inauguration on Friday 11 June.

The Cova de l'Or, the Neolithic site of international reference throughout the Mediterranean arc, until now only accessible to researchers and archaeologists, has undoubtedly been the the main protagonist of the festive season. Following the Collaboration Agreement signed with Beniarrés Town Council, the MARQ Foundation will be responsible for the management of both new cultural resources (Interpretation Centre and Site), which will thus join its consolidated network together with the sites of La Illeta dels Banyets in El Campello, El Tossal de Manises-Lucentum in Alicante, La Cava Gran in Agres, the Sanctuary of Pla de Petracos in Castell de Castells and the Almohad Tower in Almudaina. Thus the Interpretation Centre, in C/ Rosa Escrig, no. 12 in Beniarrés, recorded 148 visits who took advantage of this new proposal to enjoy, in addition to this beautiful town, a visit to the Covawhich reached a record of 113 visitsA cultural, scenic and environmental experience that is as attractive as it is exciting in the heart of Alicante's mountains.
