We have already started the programme of recreational and educational activities that we organise every summer for our youngest friends. More than 150 children from the province, as well as from Madrid, Valencia and Castilla-León, have already signed up for this fun cultural initiative, which will take place during the months of July and August and which includes among its proposals theatre workshops, games or guided tours.
The registration period to participate remains openSo if you are interested or want more information about these activities you can do it through the following link www.marqalicante.com, www.clubllumiq.es or in the taquillas of our museum.
The calendar of activities includes weekly courses that are taking place Monday to Friday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the cultural centre. This initiative, aimed at children between the ages of 6 and 14, allows them to learn about the permanent collection MARQ and discover the archaeology of Alicante from prehistoric times to modern times. Participants will also be able to see the contents of the new international exhibition "The Kingdom of Salt.7.000 years of Hallstatt history", which brings to the public the secrets of the Hallstatt culture, a period spanning the transition from the Bronze Age to the Iron Age, which developed in an area located in the north of Austria.
Another of the options offered by our summer activities programme, is the guided tour of the archaeological sites of the Tossal de Manises, in the Roman city of Lucentum, or the Illeta dels Banyets, in El Campello. These excursions take place every Friday morning on TRAM.
In addition, on Friday afternoons, the children can invite their relatives to visit the museum and share with them all the knowledge acquired during the week.
