The MARQ in the Santa Eulalia Colony

More than 400 people participated this past weekend in the activities and workshops that the Marq has deployed in the open days of Santa Eulalia, "Santa Eulalia... Vívela! A singular and collective heritage". An educational project coordinated by the teacher Silvestre Navarro, from the IES La Canal de Petrer, which will culminate on 6 May in our museum with the presentation of the School Declaration of La Colonia, and which includes more than 30 micro-projects and presentations of educational material prepared by students from the participating schools. An intense and enriching weekend in which visitors to La Colonia were able to travel back to the end of the 19th century and pose for the memory dressed in period costume, like the Counts of Santa Eulalia, in a fun family costumbrista photo (all of them can be seen and downloaded through the Marq's social networks). Also collaborating in this initiative were the town councils of Sax, Villena, Elda and Petrer, institutes and schools of these same municipalities, the Dámaso Alonso Museum of Petrer, the Municipal Archaeological Museum of Villena and various artistic groups of music and dance.
