The service of visits to the Interpretation Centre and the Cova de l'Or site in Beniarrés is temporarily suspended until 16th March 2024. This site in the Benicadell mountain range is fundamental for understanding the Neolithic period on the Mediterranean coast of the Iberian Peninsula, and a visit to it is also an opportunity to enjoy the environmental and scenic heritage in which it is located.

Since its opening to the public in June 2021, it has received until last 12 November the visit of more than two thousand people. Access to both the Interpretation Centre and the Cova de l'Or is limited to visits promoted by the Fundación CV MARQ and the Beniarrés Town Council with the aim of preserving the value of the historical legacy of the enclave converted into a Site Museum by the Diputación de Alicante.

From the Interpretation Centre, the guided tour starts with a tour of its interior and the projection of a video to contextualise the space and its surroundings. From there, the itinerary continues to mini bus -vehicle included in the service offered to the start of the path leading to the site. After a short walk, and following the indications guides, you enter the interior of the Cave. The arrival of the winter period advises the adoption of this measure, resuming again on the weekend of 16-17 March 2024, hoping for the completion by then of the actions to extend the visit routes inside the site, with the installation of the new walkway, as well as the conditioning of a new external access path that were presented to the media on 7 November last by the mayor of the town, Francisco Sellés, and the provincial deputies for architecture and culture, Carmen Sellés and Juan de Dios Navarro, respectively.
