The Cabezo Pardo site is located at 59 m above sea level, on a prominent elevation of the group known as Cabezos de los Ojales - a place name undoubtedly derived from the various springs known in the area since ancient times and most of which were still active until recently - whose summits now form the dividing line between the municipalities of San Isidro and Granja de Rocamora, in Alicante.
Its recognition as an archaeological site dates back to the early years of the 20th century, when it seems that L. Siret himself, or more probably Pedro Flores or one of his sons, carried out archaeological excavations on the site, the result of which is a collection of ceramic, lithic and malacological objects that now form part of the Siret Collection, which is kept and conserved in the National Archaeological Museum in Madrid.........
