The MARQ will begin the week celebrating the International Museum Day 2020The museum's history, as well as the history of the building where it is located: the San Juan de Dios Hospital, will be the subject of several publications. In addition, the contents will delve into the everyday life of the Ancient RomeThe visitor will discover the customs of the table and kitchen, or the hairstyles of the inhabitants. In addition, there will be "games" as in the Middle AgesThe painted ceramics on display in the Iberian culture room will be reviewed and the pieces in the micro-exhibition currently on display in the entrance hall of the museum will be on display for visitors to admire: The Bulls of the Argar culture.
In terms of the sites, the proposal will focus on the geomorphology of the the Illeta dels Banyetsof the Iberian woman, of the tabernae Roman and one of the fundamental pieces in the exhibition found in the archaeological site of Lucentum: the bronze hand. The MARQ will also reveal some curiosities about the Almudaina Tower.
- DIM 2020 ONLINE PROGRAMMING
Stories with a lot of history: Four stories, set in different historical periods, whose characters will come to life and address issues related to the importance of diversity and inclusion. This activity will also be performed in sign language.
The MARQ in pictograms: In order to achieve the objective of prioritising inclusion and considering the diversity of audiences, a small guide to the museum and its sites has been developed in PICTOGRAMS. A fundamental resource to facilitate cognitive accessibility.
A MARQ of friends: The institutions with which MARQ works to make the museum a more inclusive and accessible place will be present, virtually, to talk about their work and what makes them feel included in the museum.
Climate in trouble: Apartado to reflect on climate change as one of the greatest challenges of our time.
The incomplete story: Proposal that will give free rein to creativity, inviting participants to be the designers of the work. The boy who wanted to be an explorer. The text will be provided in the absence of the design, which can be done with photos or drawings.
