CONSUELO ROCA DE TOGORES
Graduate in Geography and History, specialising in Archaeology from the University of Valencia, she is currently a Collections Technician at MARQ, an institution where she has been working since 1999. Co-director of the archaeological excavations of the Cova d'En Pardo (Planes) and the Cova Randero (Pedreguer). She has more than thirty-eight published works related to anthropological and palaeopathological studies.
In his research experience he has collaborated with various institutions such as the Department of Gynaecology, Toxicology and Health Legislation of the Miguel Hernández University and the Laboratory of Anthropology of the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Granada, among others. He has also taught courses on Forensic and Archaeological Anthropology at the Miguel Hernández and Alacant Universities.
THE REMAINS OF HUMAN REMAINS FROM THE UPPER PALAEOLITHIC AT
LA COVA BENEITO
In this conference, the anthropological and palaeopathological studies carried out so far on the human remains found in the Solutrean and Solutrean levels of the Cova Beneito are presented. It also shows an overview of the main human fossil remains located in the Mediterranean area of the Iberian Peninsula, as well as in the rest of the Iberian Peninsula during the Upper Palaeolithic.
