On 8th December, the last day of visits to the Neolithic site of the Cova de l'Or in Beniarrés until spring.

The Cova de l'Or opens up in the Benicadell mountain range and contains an archaeological site of enormous importance for the knowledge of the Neolithic period on the Mediterranean coast of the Iberian Peninsula. Declared an Asset of Cultural Interest, it has been open to guided tours since last June, and has already been visited by more than 807 people, culminating a suggestive route of cultural and scenic interest that begins at the Interpretation Centre of the site in the town of Beniarrés.

The success of this exciting activity has motivated the MARQ Foundation and the Beniarrés Town Council to extend the opening to the public of both cultural resources (C.I. and Site) until the 8th of December. After that, visits to the site will be suspended until March 2022, when the service will be resumed. Visits to the Interpretation Centre will continue during the winter months, free of charge, from the weekend of 11-12 December 2021 until the end of February 2022, every Saturday and Sunday, except 25 December 2021 and 1 January 2022. Prior registration at [email protected] or [email protected], with a maximum capacity of 15 people/pass.
