The MARQ 2020-21 Educational Activities cycle starts with the participation of 200 students in its first month

Since its launch at the beginning of October, 200 pupils have participated in the Didactic Activities Programme 2020-2021 organised by the MARQ Foundation through guided tours and educational workshops, both in the museum and in the archaeological site of Tossal de Manises-Lucentum.

The Vice-President and Member of Parliament for Culture, trustytimewatch  Julia ParraHe thanked the high level of participation in the cycle. "The MARQ will continue its commitment to raise awareness of the spaces and the research and dissemination of knowledge that is being developed, an important legacy that young people should get to know through adapted activities, suitable for each age group", stressed Parra.

In order to attend the concerted groups, the safety measures established to prevent the spread of Covid-19 have been taken to the extreme: use of obligatory masks, hydroalcoholic gel, temperature monitoring, large classrooms, "bubble" groups, constant disinfection of teaching materials, etc., included in the centre's Contingency Plan, which earned it the COVID seal of guarantee from the ICTE "Safe Tourism Certified" and recognition from the Secretary of State for Tourism for advanced good practices in establishments prepared for COVID-19 of the SICTED.

In addition, during this school term, the Alicante museum has reinforced its commitment to new technologies with workshops via streaming that are complemented with introductions to the museum's permanent galleries, previously offering students the necessary didactic material to carry them out in the classroom, through a link to facilitate their free download.
