International Museum Day attracts 4,000 people to the Diputación's cultural centres

The cultural centres of the Alicante Provincial Council have held a new edition of the International Museum Day with the visit of almost four thousand people. The MARQ, the MUBAG and the Gil-Albert Institute have commemorated this anniversary with a wide-ranging programme of fun and educational activities for the whole family, including open days with free admission, workshops, games, competitions, guided and dramatised visits, among other proposals.  

The Archaeological Museum of Alicante and the sites of Lucentum and the Illeta dels Banyets have reached the figure of 3,000 peopleOn Saturday, the MARQ had more than a thousand visitors. It should be noted that the international exhibition dedicated to the gladiators has almost 20,000 visitors, while the museum has registered 57,000 visits so far this year. In addition, the historical re-enactments, interpreted by the Association of Historical Reconstruction Hispania Romanawere particularly well received by the public and brought together more than 350 people in the MARQ Gardens on Saturday 21st.  

For its part, on Gravina Fine Arts Museum which, on the occasion of International Museum Day, has held the first guided tours to the recently opened permanent exhibition "The 19th century. The collection in the light".has counted during these days dedicated to the DIM2022 about six hundred visitors.

 Finally, the Juan Gil-Albert Institute of Culture dedicated the day to a meeting between the artist from Pego, Filiberto Siscar, and the curator of his exhibition, Silvia Mercé, around the Schwindel" exhibition and registered a full house.
