The Lions Club of Benidorm, amazed by the Mayan mysteries hidden in the Marq

A group of 27 kids from all over the world visited the international Mayan exhibition this morning, accompanied by 3 monitors from the Benidorm Lions Club. The Benidorm Lions Club have prepared a very full agenda for them: since their arrival in Alicante yesterday Tuesday, the youngsters will enjoy 15 days of coexistence in a camp in the Alicante town of Alfaz del Pí; during these two weeks they will visit the most emblematic places of the province, and then they will spend the last week of their stay in our country with families in Benidorm, Alicante, Elche, Málaga and León.

The activity chosen for today brought them to the Marq. For almost an hour they took part in a guided tour of the spectacular exhibition on Mesoamerican culture, where, as well as learning about the Mayan civilisation in depth, they were fascinated by the avant-garde exhibition design. They did not want to leave the Marq without also visiting the permanent rooms of the Museum in order to learn a little more about the history of Alicante. A cultural experience as fun as it is enriching.
