The MARQ Archaeological Museum will host the next Monday 10 June on VII Blood Donation Marathon. The Member of Parliament for People's Welfare, Loreto Serranoand the Mayor of Alicante, Luis BarcalaThis morning, they presented this proposal which, for the first time this year, will also offer users the possibility of donating plasma.
"Donating blood is a simple gesture of love and generosity that saves lives," said the MP, who appealed to the sensitivity and solidarity of the public to join in this collection, organised by ASISA and the Transfusion Centre of the Region of Valencia.
The MARQ Blood and Plasma Donation Marathon will be held on Monday 10th June. from 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. to offer a wide margin to all those who wish to collaborate. As in previous editions, will have a large team of health professionals composed of doctors, nurses and orderlies who will ensure that the day runs smoothly, safely and in optimal conditions.
As a token of appreciation, people who join this initiative will receive as a gift two tickets to visit the Archaeological Museum and another two tickets to attend the show that the well-known comedian Carlos Latre will be held on 12 June in the ADDA Auditorium.
The requirements to be a donor are to have between 18 and 65 years old, regret more than 50 kilos and enjoy good health. In addition, volunteers must come with their ID card, without fasting and having drunk plenty of fluids to maintain adequate hydration.
"The Provincial Council and the Alicante City Council have been collaborating since 2018 in the development of this initiative to commemorate the World Blood Donor Day, which takes place every 14 June."explained Loreto Serrano.
The presentation ceremony, held at the MARQ, was also attended by the delegate of Asisa in Alicante, Paula Giménezand of the representative of the Transfusion Centre of the Valencian Community, Carlos Clavijo.
