Under the slogan "A day for everyone at MARQ"., the Museum celebrates today the International Day of Disability and offers a special programme that will continue throughout the weekend. The vice-president and deputy for Culture, Julia ParraHe explained that "once again this year, this commemoration makes visible one of the main objectives of the Diputación de Alicante, which is to work towards a more inclusive and accessible museum so that everyone can enjoy its activities and contents".
The calendar of proposals designed for this occasion includes workshops, guided tours, storytellers and other activities, which will take place in streaming and in person. The MARQ Foundation is holding these conferences in collaboration with the Down Syndrome Association of Alicantethe C.P. of Special Education El Somni of Alicante, the Association of Deaf People of L'Alacantí APESOAthe Asperger's Association Alicante ASPALI and the Occupational Leisure Association for People with Intellectual Disabilities AODI.

This year is a very special one for the Archaeological Museum of Alicante, as it is also celebrating the recent award of the Certificate of Compliance with UNE 170001-2:2007, with which it has implemented the Management System for this Universal Accessibility Standard.
