The Archaeological Museum of Alicante has designed for this autumn a new calendar of cultural activities which, for the first time, includes guided tours of archaeological sites and museums in the province of Alicante, which will be held once a month.
The Museum tour will start next Sunday 19 October with a visit to the Municipal Archaeological Museum of Villenaan exhibition space that opened on 3 November 1957 with the materials gathered by José María Soler over more than forty years of archaeological work in the locality and its surroundings.
With this initiative, the Museum intends to take a further step towards the dissemination and awareness of culture and specifically of the history of our province. For this purpose and in collaboration with the archaeological museums of our province, the MARQ has organised these visits that will allow anyone interested to enjoy the archaeological wealth of the province through its most emblematic museums and archaeological sites. with the help of their guides. The visits will take place once a month and over the weekendso that the whole family can participate.
