MARQ offers a weekend of open doors to bid farewell to the international Etruscan exhibition

The Archaeological Museum of Alicante has organised for this weekend open days with free entry to bid farewell to the exhibition "Etruscans. The dawn of Rome".. The international exhibition concludes its stay in Alicante after having exceeded all visitor expectations since it opened seven months ago.

The First Vice-President and Member of Parliament for Culture, Julia ParraHe invited the people of Alicante and visitors "to get to know in these last few days a great exhibition that has allowed us to discover one of the great civilisations that populated the coasts of the Mediterranean through valuable objects that retrace its history". Parra also thanked the collaboration of the participating museums and the Italian Embassy "for their contribution, thanks to which this exhibition has been a success and has been well received by the public".

Access to Etruscans during Saturday 19 and Sunday 20 March will be free of charge and during opening hours from 10:00 to 14:000 hoursboth days, as Saturday coincides with the feast of St. Joseph. In addition, and to make attendance as easy as possible, the visit will be free. "Etruscans. The dawn of Rome" is made up of 150 artefacts from the most important excavations in ancient EtruriaThis is the largest monographic exhibition on this culture to be shown in Spain in the last decade. It also includes a selection of original pieces from the Museo Archeologico Nazionale di Firenze (MAF) and the Museo Etrusco Guarnacci in Volterra which trace the history of Etruscan civilisation from its origins in the 9th century BC to its gradual absorption by the Romans in the 1st century BC.
