MARQ participates in the International Congress The museum for everyone: art, accessibility and social inclusion which until 5 April brings together museum managers, teachers, researchers, artists, students and cultural professionals at the Complutense University of Madrid with the aim of creating a space for exchange and discussion about the extension of museums to all people, regardless of their diversity.
Tomorrow Thursday, at 10:00h, in the Assembly Hall of the Faculty of Geography and History, and as part of the lectures dedicated to The Museum as a Therapeutic Agentthe managing director of the MARQ Foundation, José Alberto Cortés, and the director of the Fontcalent Penitentiary Centre, Santiago de las Heras, will talk about the programme "Coming back with a new story". developed between both entities with the aim of favouring the constitutional principle assigned to the penalty of deprivation of liberty and which is fundamentally built on turning the time of imprisonment into a useful time, in which to acquire new skills, experiences, knowledge and vital and professional projects, using, in this case, the museum and the sites managed by the MARQ. The Scientific Committee organising this International Congress has also selected two other programmes from the Didactics, Accessibility and Social Responsibility Unit of the MARQ Foundation, which are being exhibited these days in poster format, "MARQ+65" in collaboration with the ASAUTE Association for the Elderly and "MARQ: Museum and Memory against Alzheimer's", with the Alzheimer's Association of Alicante AFA.
