The Marq restores a female trousseau from the late medieval period found in an excavation in the Petrer Esplanade.

The technicians of the Conservation laboratory from MARQ have restored a set of parts carried out in bronze belonging to the late medieval period. This female trousseau, which was discovered in an archaeological excavation carried out in the old cemetery located in the Explanada of Petrer, will become part of the Dámaso Navarro Museum of the municipality.

The Archaeological Museum of Alicante received the pieces in November 2014 in a very deteriorated state due to corrosion and the long period of burial. The complex is composed of two earrings with washers and a series of 32 small parts with a perforation at the ends, possibly sewn into a veil or headband.

Once the intervention of the Museum's Conservation-Restoration Laboratory has been completed, and in order to ensure its effectiveness, it must be complemented by a adaptation of external conditions location, maintaining at all times constant parameters of temperature, humidity and light slowing down natural deterioration phenomena and ensuring the stability of the object
