The President of the Alicante Provincial Council Luisa Pastor has met in Madrid with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in Spain, His Excellency Zhu Bangzhaoto present the details of the next international exhibition to be held at the Archaeological Museum of Alicante. "Lords of Heaven and Earth. China in the Hang Dynasty (206 BC-220 AD.)".
During the meeting, Pastor has proposed to Zhu Bangzhao to to be part of the Honorary Committee of this exhibition, which will be inaugurated at June 2014 and which will allow citizens to learn about the history, secrets, splendour and importance of the Hang dynasty. The President also explained to her the work process currently being developed by MARQ and has referred to the awards and recognitions national and international awards that the Alicante centre has won over the years, such as the European Award for the Best Museum (EMYA) which it received in 2004.
Pastor said that this is the first time that the MARQ has dedicated an exhibition to Oriental culture, an exceptional work that will rigorously show the most outstanding aspects of this sophisticated dynasty..
For his part, Zhu Bangzhao, who has kindly accepted to be part of this Committee of Honour, stressed the importance of this exhibition, which he plans to visit, and showed his interest in its contents.
Finally, both have agreed to establish new lines of joint collaboration to enable a future cultural exchange. In this regard, the President offered him the Alicante Provincial Council Auditorium, as well as other facilities in the province, so that various Chinese bands and orchestras could perform there.
