The documentary film about the prehistoric salt mines in the German town of Halstatt has been selected among 200 films from 45 countries to be screened at the 10th edition of AGON, International Meeting of Archeological Film, an internationally renowned Greek festival, which takes place in Athens from 17 to 23 October this year.
The documentary produced by the Diputación de Alicante for the exhibition held at the MARQ from June 2013 to January 2014, has already received two prestigious awards in two different competitions held in the United States: at the Arkhaios Festival in South Carolina, dedicated to the best archaeological documentaries, it received the award for the best film of 2015 and at the Oregon Festival it received the award for best script.
The film selected for the Athens festival has been translated into Greek and will be broadcast on Greek television. The festival organisers have also extended an invitation to attend the awards gala.
