Signing of agreements at MARQ

 

 

 

 

    The MARQ has signed two collaboration agreements with the Federation of Associations for the Physically Disabled of the Province of Alicante (COCEMFE) and the Spanish Cancer Association (AECC).. The agreements were initialled by the President of the Diputación de Alicante, César Sánchezand the presidents of the entities involved, Antonio Ruescas, of COCEMFE, and Pablo EnriquezThe aim, among others, is to coordinate in order to promote and disseminate as much as possible joint actions that promote and encourage the activities of both groups. In the case of COCEMFE, one of the main aims is to encourage visits by this group to both the permanent and temporary exhibitions, adapting them to their needs, as well as to encourage internships for students on courses given by the Federation. On the other hand, the AECC has decided to apply a 50% discount for its members when it comes to accessing the museum's facilities and the sites of the Tossal de Manises, the Illeta dels Banyets and the Almudaina Tower.

     Through the Didactic Department, the museum has been carrying out important work in the field of accessibility for years and, with the signing of these agreements, it is reaffirming its commitment to achieving objectives aimed at this end. The event was attended by the deputy for Family and Citizenship, Mercedes Alonsoand the director of MARQ, Manuel Olcina.
