Book Day at Mubag
The Mubag will dedicate tomorrow Thursday a tribute to forgotten authors in its Thursday section on the exhibition 'The Drawing School of the Maritime and Land Consulate of Alicante'. Tomorrow the commemoration will continue with the launching of a new challenge for the weekend in which the creative protagonist will be the public. On this occasion, participants will be invited to express through writing how they feel in this confinement, launch positive messages and share short poems inspired by art composed on a background and signed. The creations can be sent to the following e-mail address [email protected] or posted directly on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram tagging Museo Mubag with the hashtag #Arteypoesia from Friday 24 to Sunday 26 April.
On Monday, the different works of the challenge will be published on the museum's social networks in order to to compile in an album the poems sent over the weekend by the public.
With this initiative, for the first time the museum will be the platform for poets. The MUBAG team aims to unite art and literature, two artistic manifestations that have always influenced each other as shown in some of the works that form part of the permanent exhibition 'The 19th century at the MUBAG. From the formation to the fullness of an artist', which tell novelistic stories. Among them, 'El Halconero' by Lorenzo Casanova, historical facts and social dramas inspired by the social novel or allegories such as the one by Emilio Sala dedicated to letters.
