One of the most endearing moments of these days at MARQ is undoubtedly the lighting of the Araucaria tree in its garden, converted into a great Christmas tree, a tradition that attracts the presence of many locals and foreigners willing to share their best wishes with those who come to the Museum at this time of year.
César Augusto Asencio, Vice-President of the MARQ, will be in charge of inaugurating this year's Christmas illumination of the Museum tomorrow Thursday 14th December at 19.00 hours, which will shine until the 7th January.
Children and adults, from 6 p.m. onwards, will be able to spend a fantastic afternoon full of workshops and family games, including a letter to the Three Wise Men, a wishing well, a chestnut tree and Christmas music.
As every Christmas, MARQ has prepared a host of activities for its youngest friends to enjoy the school holidays at the Museum: children's theatre and workshops related to the Christmas theme and the Mayan world, as well as educational visits to the permanent collection and the international exhibition.
