Tomorrow Thursday, at 7.30 p.m., the MARQ Assembly Hall will host the presentation of the "Underwater Archaeological Chart of Alicante. Fondeadero de Lucentum", in which Doctor Rafael Azuar shows us the results of the research carried out in the bay of Albufereta, the anchorage of the ancient city of Alicante. Lucentum and its territory, from the 5th century BC until its definitive abandonment at the end of the 10th century AD.
A meticulous work that highlights the historical-maritime and Mediterranean projection of the bay as a first-rate underwater archaeological site, which deserves to be declared an Asset of Cultural Interest of the Valencian Community.
The presentation of this book, directed and coordinated by Rafael Azuar and Omar Inglese, will be given by Darío Bernal Casasola, Professor of Archaeology at the University of Cádiz, a renowned international expert on the maritime archaeology of the Mediterranean in antiquity.
