Manuel Olcina, new member of the MAN Board of Trustees

The MARQ is in luck! Its technical director, the archaeologist and researcher from Alicante Manuel Olcina, has recently been appointed by the Ministry of Culture to be a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Archaeological Museum, the most important archaeological museum in Spain, which received more than 540,000 visits in 2017.

This incorporation into the MAN is a source of pride and great satisfaction, in Olcina's words, as "it is a recognition of the work we have been doing and because it places the prestige of the MARQ beyond any doubt".

The Board of Trustees is a body that represents the participation and responsibility of civil society in the enrichment of the Museum's collections, their conservation and their temporary loan. Its composition includes political and administrative positions in the field of cultural management and professors, academics and museum professionals in subjects related to the contents of the institution.
