Christmas for all at the Marq

The Board of Trustees of the CV-Marq Foundation has approved at its meeting today an extensive Christmas Campaign that will begin on 1 December and end on 7 January 2018,rolex replica watches with the closing of the international exhibition Mayas.

These activities begin on 1, 2 and 3 December with the benefit concert by Stile Vocale, the Alicante White Voices Choir, in aid of Ozanam and with the commemorative days of the International Day of Disability.

As has become traditional, on Wednesday 6 December, Constitution Day, the Marq will be celebrating this holiday with an Open Day from 10am to 2pm.

One of the most endearing moments of Christmas at the Museum is undoubtedly the lighting of the Christmas tree, which this year will take place on Thursday 14 December. Children and adults, from 6 p.m. onwards, will be able to spend a fantastic afternoon full of workshops and family games, including the letter to the Three Wise Men, the wishing well, the chestnut tree and Christmas music.

During the first week of the school holidays, from 26 to 29 December, in the mornings there will be free children's theatre and workshops related to the Christmas theme and the temporary Mayan exhibition.

Once again MARQ will be present at Exponadal, the children's and young people's leisure fair at IFA, with its own stand where games, entertainment and workshops will be held to promote the educational offer of MARQ and its archaeological sites.

Likewise, and after renewing its collaboration with the Alicante Food Bank Foundation, MARQ will set up a collection point for non-perishable foodstuffs in the Museum throughout the Christmas Campaign, becoming, thanks to its staff, one more volunteer in the noble task of helping the most disadvantaged, a campaign that in this case will last until January 7th.

The special programming for the Christmas season will end with a week of open doors, from 2 to 7 January, to bid farewell to what has been the cultural event of the year in Alicante: the international exhibition Mayas. The enigma of the lost cities. During these days, the exhibition can be visited free of charge during the Museum's normal opening hours.
