Olcina renewed as a member of the National Archaeological Museum in Madrid

 

       The Minister of Culture and Sport and president of the Board of Trustees of the National Archaeological Museum MAN, José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes, has signed the Ministerial Order appointing the new members of the Board of Trustees for the next three years, including the director of the Archaeological Museum of Alicante, Manuel Olcina, who renews his position in the institution.

     The director of the MAN, Andrés Carretero, who is also a member of the MARQ Board of Trustees on behalf of the Spanish Ministry of Culture, has indicated that a meeting of the Plenary is expected to be convened shortly at which they will take office.

    Manuel Olcina is one of the "twelve members appointed from among persons of recognised prestige or competence in matters related to Spanish Historical Heritage or who have distinguished themselves by their services or aid to this Heritage, and in particular, to the National Archaeological Museum", in accordance with Royal Decree 570/1999, of 9 April, on the creation of the National Archaeological Museum.
