Fibula "ad occhio
Mola d'Agres (Agres, Alicante Bronze h: 7,2cm ; w: 2,8 cm ; e: 0.2 cm Final Bronze 800 - 500 b.C.
Elbow fibula 'ad occhio' consisting of a rectilinear pin of circular cross-section inserted into a two-armed bow through a four-spiral spring, also of circular cross-section. The two arms of the bow are divided by a double-spiral loop. Both the arch and the pin are decorated with incised decoration based on triangles filled with parallel lines.
The discovery of this piece in Alicante is of great importance because its presence shows the existence of close contacts with the Central Mediterranean at the end of the Bronze Age, prior to the Phoenician colonisation.
