The MARQ joins in the celebration of the International Women's Day Woman with a programme of educational activities focusing on women from a historical perspective. The activities will begin on 5 March and end on 9 March.
Visitors can learn about the role played by women throughout history.

DAY ON ROMAN WOMEN
10:30 a.m.: "The women of Lucentum"Guided tour of Lucentum focusing on the role of women in Roman culture for students of the ONCE of Alicante. We will meet different women who lived in Lucentum and its surroundings.
12:00: Workshop carried out by the Historical Reconstruction group for students of the ONCE of Alicante.

10:00 a.m: Women in the Middle Ages through the legacies of the MARQ. Guided tour for schoolchildren in which women in the Middle Ages will be discussed. Schoolchildren will learn about female figures such as Christine de Pizan, a philosopher of great prestige at the time.
10:30: Presentation of the educational project " Women's history"MARQ has carried out in collaboration with the I.E.S. Mediterránea of Benidorm in the Educational Centre itself.
11:00 a.m.: Educational workshop on women in the Middle Ages. For schoolchildren.
12:00 noon: Women in Roman Culture through MARQ's legacies. Guided tour for schoolchildren in which the protagonist will be women in Roman society.. School children. Schoolchildren will learn about Hypatia, a Greek mathematician and philosopher who lived in Alexandria at the end of the Roman Empire.
13:00: Educational workshop on women in Roman culture. For schoolchildren.
17:30: "Women in history through MARQ's legacies"This guided tour through different rooms of the museum's permanent exhibition will bring us closer to the reality of women throughout history. General public.
