A Constitution Day for all

The open day on the occasion of the celebration of Constitution Day at MARQ, its sites and monuments, coincided with the last day of the three days that the Museum has dedicated to commemorate the International Day of Disability. A festivity that more than 600 visitors wanted to share with us. The MARQ has registered 344 visits, El Tossal de Manises Lucentum 127, the Illeta dels Banyets in El Campello 152 and 19 people have passed through the Almohad Tower of Almudaina.

This Sunday's activities began at 11am with a guided tour of the permanent collection of the MARQ in sign language for the Associació de Personas Sordes de L'Alacantí APESOA and at the same time, a workshop on Cave Art in streaming for the Asociación Ocio Ocupacional para Personas con Discapacidad Intelectual AODI (Occupational Leisure Association for People with Intellectual Disabilities).

At 12 noon the general public was able to enjoy a dramatised visit to the museum's permanent collection and at 12.30 children attended the storytelling session "The talent of Ocu", a blind girl who lives in prehistoric times and who will discover how her visual disability is her greatest strength.

The morning programme for this free access holiday ended at 1pm with a guided tour of the MARQ's permanent collection.
