A Delegation of International Museums visits MARQ

Archaeologists and museum managers from all over the world visited the MARQ facilities and the exhibition "Viking Warriors of the North. Giants of the Sea" which is on display until January 2017.

The visit is part of the tour organised by Museums Partners, a European company dedicated to the coordination of international exhibitions, which these directors are making to various museums and archaeological sites in several countries, as well as to different European exhibitions, including the one at the Alicante Museum.

Among the members of the delegation are the Executive Director of the American Anthropological Association and managers of the  Missouri Museum of Art and Archaeology and the Los Angeles Museum of Natural History. Also accompanying the delegation is the Director of the National Museum of Australia as well as the creative and exhibition director of the National Geographic Museum.

After the visit, which was attended by officials from the National Museum of Denmark, a meeting was held with the MARQ directors, Manuel Olcina, technical director, Josep Albert Cortés, managing director, and Jorge Soler, director of exhibitions.

Undoubtedly, this visit is of enormous importance not only because of the relevance of the exhibition but also because of the also for the international projection of MARQ in countries with a very large scientific community and a very important exhibition capacity, such as the United States and Australia.
